Measuring and Installing

Isn’t it easier to have someone measure and fit for me?

It could be, but you’ll certainly pay a lot more for the privilege. And our measuring and fitting instructions make everything so simple you can do this yourself and save a fortune.

 

What if I get my measurements wrong?

We’ll do absolutely everything we can to make sure this doesn’t happen in the first place – and it rarely does.

 

Do all fitting instructions come with the blinds? 

Fitting instructions are available for immediate download from our site and therefore we do not unnecessarily use paper by sending them with the blinds as well. 

 

How do I measure bay windows or conservatories?
Please call us on 0845 269 269 1 and we'll be happy to help. All bays and conservatories are very different so it's important that we speak to you before offering advise on measuring.

 

Our Products

What 'working tolerances' do you deduct if I select recess measurement? 
We'll generally deduct around 1cm from the width of your recess (or 1.5cm from the drop of a Vertical recess). This ensures a snug fit.

 

Can I fit a wooden blind in my bathroom or kitchen?
The answer depends on how close the blind will be to your sink/bath/shower and on the amount of condensation and humidity the blind will be subjected to. Our wooden slats are treated to avoid cracking and warping but there is only so much we can do with a natural product of this nature.

 

What type of brackets do you supply?
The majority of our blinds come with universal brackets which can be used for face or top fixing. Vertical blinds are supplied with both types of bracket.

 

Do you supply traditional 'spring loaded' roller blinds?
In a word 'no'. All our roller blinds come with the more modern and reliable sidewinder controls. Because we guarantee all our blinds for 3 years it's important that we make sure they'll last that long and unfortunately spring loaded roller blinds are notoriously unreliable.

What if I’m not completely satisfied?

We want all our customers to be 100% satisfied and our five-point service plan is designed to make sure you are completely happy.  

 

  1. If we’ve made your order the wrong size, we’ll replace or alter it Free of Charge
  2. We guarantee the colour of the materials will match the samples you’ve received and if they don’t we’ll replace them Free of Charge  
  3. If your blinds arrive damaged by the couriers we’ll replace or repair and ship them to you Free of Charge  
  4. And, last but not least, if something goes wrong in the future you’re covered by our 3 Year Guarantee

Free Samples 

Can I see samples before I buy?

Of course – no problem. We offer a Free Sampling Service for all our blinds so you can see the colour or design and look at your choice in your room or at your window to make sure it’s right for your décor.

 

How quickly can my samples be shipped?

If you tell us which sample you’d like to see before 4:30pm Monday–Friday, we’ll make sure they’re in the post, first class, the same day.

 

How many samples can I order?

There’s no limit to the number you can order, so don’t be shy. Choose as many samples as you need to make sure you pick the right product for your home.

 

Shipping

How quickly will my products arrive?

All our blinds are handmade and each product is tested through our quality control process.  

From order to delivery, the process normally takes about a week, so your Blinds order will be with you in 5-7 working days (except for roman blinds which can take 10-15 days).

 

Do you charge for delivery?

Standard delivery is charged at £6.95 but for orders over £149 we will deliver your order free of charge.

 

What do I do if my order hasn’t arrived?

On the rare chance this might occur, just call our free customer service number and we will fix this for you right away. Call us on 0845 269 269 1.

When I’m ready, how do I order?

It’s easy. Just choose the product you want, give us the size and any options you need, and we’ll give you an exact made to measure price straight away. If you’re happy with it, just drop it into your shopping basket.

Am I on my own once I’ve received my order?
